Love you forever

My son is such a sweet, little guy. I sometimes forget how sweet he can be when he is in continual motion and charting his daily agenda, one that doesn't include the standard rules, mind you. Tonight while reading our bedtime stories, Nathan picked out "Love You Forever" by Robert Munsch. A classic tear-jerker. Upon finishing up, Nathan turned to me, cupped my face and said in his wee monkey voice:

I'll love you forever.
I'll like you for always.
As long as I'm living,
my Mommy you'll be.

How do you not feel incredibly honored and humbled to be the recipient of such? I could not help but hug him extra tight and sneak in a few more bedtime kisses than usual. What a great kid I have.
